This family favorite returns this season to Boscobel!  Bring a picnic dinner, enjoy the iconic view and celebrate an early summer evening with music and dancing.

The Big Band Sound jazz orchestra recreates the swinging sounds of the big band era and beyond, including classics made famous by Duke Ellington, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Benny Goodman, Count Basie, and Glenn Miller.  In the tradition of these great orchestras, The Big Band Sound is a 20-piece jazz band consisting of saxophones, trombones, trumpets, rhythm section, and vocalists which performs standards from the core of the Great American Songbook, all in the most exciting setting of a big band. The Big Band Sound has performed throughout the Hudson Valley for nearly fifty years, including sunset picnic events at Boscobel starting in 2001.  The Big Band Sound has also been recognized by the Dutchess County Executive’s Arts Awards with their Special Citation.

Please bring your own chairs and blankets. Grounds will open at 5:00pm for ticket holders. On-site food trucks and local vendors to be announced!
