Where Your Life Together Begins
Boscobel House and Gardens has been listed as “The Best Place for a Wedding” in Best of The Hudson Valley Guide.
The stunning Neoclassical mansion, the romantic tree-lined entryway, the brick paths through the elegant Formal Garden, the bucolic West Meadow and the magnificent Great Lawn with its majestic views, all provide an impressive and picturesque setting for your ceremony.
We look forward to making your celebration a beautiful and memorable experience.
The Great Lawn
The Great Lawn, a lush expanse between the mansion and the scenic overlook, gives guests unparalleled views of the Hudson River, the United States Military Academy at West Point, the Hudson Highlands, and Constitution Marsh. Only the couple is as spectacular as the vista.
This wide open space is perfect for ceremonies and cocktail hours.
The West Meadow / Pavilion
A spacious lawn with Hudson River views, the West Meadow is nestled between Boscobel’s historic buildings and a beautiful field with tall grasses.
At once grand and intimate, this location is the ideal site for the wedding tent, and can accommodate more than 500 guests.
For smaller weddings, a tent that accommodates up to 100 on the West Meadow is provided with rental fees. Boscobel’s expert event planner will be happy to provide couples a list of recommended vendors. Third-party caterers, tent rental services, and other service providers are welcome.
The Formal Garden
The Formal Garden is inspired by the classic-style English garden with a central fountain surrounded by elegant hedges. In bloom for long stretches of the season, its plants are pollinator-friendly, native species that were popular in early American gardens.
Set against the backdrop of the Hudson River, the Formal Garden is an ideal location for pre-dinner cocktails.
Surrounded by lovely, low brick walls, the forecourt is nestled between the mansion and Boscobel’s glorious Maple Lane. Offering shade in summer and dramatic colors in autumn, the Forecourt is an ideal spot for cocktails or smaller celebrations.
Visitor Center Gallery
The Visitor Center Gallery is a light-filled space that easily accommodates large groups for meals or cocktails.
Lila Wallace Room | Gallery
Rehearsal dinners may be held in Boscobel’s Lila Wallace Room or our Gallery connected to the mansion.
The Lila Room (pictured here) also serves as a comfortable bridal suite on the day of the wedding for the couple and their wedding parties to prepare.
