Winter Break Fun for Families

December 3rd, 2019

Bring the Kids! Tour Plus Crafts and Activities – December 26 and 27

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE (Garrison, NY – December 2019) – This winter break, Boscobel House and Gardens is offering activities for parents to delight and engage with their children while they are off school. Bring the Kids! Winter Break takes place on Thursday, December 26 and Friday, December 27.

On each day at 9:30am and then again at 1:00pm, Museum Educator Lisa DiMarzo—known to children as Miss Lisa—will give families a fun flashlight tour of the mansion. Kids of all ages (and energy levels) will enjoy hunting for gingerbread kids throughout the Historic House Museum, then join in a craft activity geared toward the season.

On Thursday, December 26, the theme is ” Candle Dipping.” On Friday, December 27, the theme is “Pomander Ball Creations.”

Program participants are also encouraged to play on the grounds overlooking Boscobel’s stunning view of the Hudson River Valley. The more snowpeople, the merrier. (This program sold out last year; advance reservations are recommended.)

As Museum Educator Lisa DiMarzo says, “Bring the Kids! is an immersive learning experience that feels like joyful play.”
