Path Through History Weekend A “NY State Path Through History” event,
presented by Boscobel House and Gardens and the Putnam History Museum.
Visitors to Boscobel will have the opportunity to explore several 2,000-step, strolling loops through the stunning Boscobel property. Each of the mile-long loops will feature station-stops along the way, where activities and crafts will be presented by local cultural, historical, horticultural, and avian attractions. Join staff and volunteers from Boscobel House and Gardens, Putnam History Museum, Constitution Marsh Audubon Center and Sanctuary, Putnam Highlands Audubon Society, Philipstown Garden Club, and the Cold Spring Farmers Market for this engaging, community event.
The Putnam History Museum will share with visitors local history facts and stories related to the American Revolution in the Hudson Highlands. Boscobel House and Gardens has incredible views of the Highlands, and visitors will have the chance to see where American history was literally made! Visitors will have a chance to test and incorporate their knowledge through several activities including a spy game, make a tricorn hat, playing colonial marbles (like Continental Army soldiers), and adding to our community Hudson River Great Chain.
