At the time of Boscobel’s construction in the early 1800s, apples were America’s most important fruit, with thousands of varieties cultivated for cider, sustenance, and more. Boscobel’s own Heritage Apple Orchard features several of those heirloom varieties, all of which are prized today.

To celebrate the changing of the seasons and the Hudson Valley’s bountiful apple harvests, join us for a full-day of autumn food, fun, and festivities: 

  • Cider press demonstration 
  • Apple cider treats from Breezy Hill Orchard
  • DIY Caramel Apple station 
  • Historical textile spinning demonstrations 
  • Live music performance with Mark Rust at 12:00pm & 2:00pm

    • Sample and purchase Boscobel apple varieties
    • Display of the cider varieties grown at Angry Orchard with tastings (21+) 
    • Learn how to make your own cider with our cold press. Mix and match ciders made from single or blended varieties

We’re offering special Fall Family Photoshoots as part of Applefest! Click the button above to book a mini-shoot with talented local photographer, Leslie Kenney. The package includes: 

  • Private 15-minute photoshoot on Boscobel’s grounds  
  • 30-40 high-resolution photos with free digital download access 
  • Waiving the traditional grounds access fee for photoshoots (A $350+ value)
  • Access for up to 4 guests to Applefest (contact abjornson@boscobel.org for ticket pricing for larger groups)

The Fall Family Photoshoot package is $125. Advanced purchase is highly encouraged as time slots are extremely limited. The photoshoot package can be purchased day-of, pending availability, for $150.
