Winter Break Fun for Families

November 30th, 2018

Bring the Kids! Tour Plus Crafts and Activities – December 26 and 28

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Garrison, NY – November 2018) – Parents everywhere can relate to the challenge of what to do with children home from school over winter break. On Wednesday, December 26 and Friday, December 28, Boscobel is offering a welcome solution.

On each day at 9:30am and then again at 1:00pm, Museum Educator Lisa DiMarzo—known to children as Miss Lisa—will give families a fun flashlight tour of the mansion. Kids of all ages (and energy levels) will enjoy hunting for gingerbread kids throughout the Historic House Museum, then join in a craft activity geared toward the season.

On Wednesday, December 26, the theme is ” Candle Dipping and Making.” On Friday, December 28, the theme is ” Make a Pomander Ball.”

Program participants are also encouraged to play on the grounds overlooking Boscobel’s stunning view of the Hudson River Valley. The more snowpeople, the merrier. (This program sold out last year; advance reservations are recommended.)

As Museum Educator Lisa DiMarzo says, “Bring the Kids! is an immersive learning experience that feels like joyful play.”
